My friend and her boyfriend are looking to get a place together. This should be a fascinating social experiment, since they have fundamentally different styles of taste. She likes sunny days and bright colors, he prefers overcast days and muted tones. 
They have different taste in clothing, music, movies, food, etc. He prefers the country, she prefers the city (cue “Green Acres” theme music). Yet, despite all of these dissimilarities, they still want to live together.
The two of them finally found an apartment that suited both their needs. It is in a pretty part of a city with easy access to the countryside. He deferred to her taste in decorating in most of the rooms and they decorated the kitchen together, since it is a room they will both use frequently.
The kitchen needed some basic maintenance and remodeling and they decided to buy most of the materials and equipment online. The kitchen cabinets were in desperate need of new door knob hardware, so they decided to buy new cabinet knobs. Surprisingly enough, they were able to agree on where to buy the knobs and what kind they wanted. They bought classic looking brass cabinet knobs from The Knobbery.
Strangely, their clashing tastes seem to complement each other and they each agree that their new cabinets look great.
