Brass Door Knobs Will Keep You From Getting Stuck
A few years ago I was dating this guy and was hanging out with him in his apartment. His bedroom door knob was not installed correctly and I had told him a few times that he should look into brass door knobs to replace it with. He kept putting it off until one day he left the room, closed the door, and left me behind as he went into his kitchen. After a few minutes I went to follow after him and pulled the door knob right out of the door.
I was left stranded with no way to get the door open. I tried to put the knob back in but it wasn’t working. I tried using my finger to get the mechanism to move and that didn’t work either. I felt really silly standing there, trying to get out. After about 10 minutes he walked over to the door and said “uh, what are you doing?”
“I’m stuck.”
It wasn’t long after that we went shopping for brass door knobs so it would never happen again.
Don’t get yourself, or even worse, your guest stuck in a room because of faulty knobs. If something isn’t fitting right or needs to be replaced, do it as soon as possible.
