Brass Door Knobs, Door Knob Hardware, Kitchen Cabinet Knobs and more…
Brass door knobs are solid. They’re what you want to feel when opening a door, the cold sting of brass against skin in the early morning, the ease with which you can grab and wrap your hand around them. They’re just more substantive than any glass or flat door knobs. Round brass door knobs are slicker and heavier duty – if you had to escape from zombies by running into your house, you wouldn’t have any trouble opening the front door. Flat brass door knobs are okay, but they’re more contemporary. For the conservative homeowner, round brass door knobs are the only choice.
Which door knob hardware you choose says a lot about the kind of home you keep. If your home is older and you have just redone a certain area of it, more contemporary hardware can help. But if you want to preserve the candor of a Victorian style home, round brass door knobs are preferable. Still, though, that doesn’t preclude variation.
You can choose more modern styles of kitchen cabinet knobs, which will look especially good if you have stainless steel in your kitchen. There are so many options that your cabinet pulls and finish hardware can be made to look antique if you want.
