Brass Door Knobs, Door Knob Hardware, Kitchen Cabinet Knobs and more…
Installing new cabinets is often a simple process. Just as simple, though, is potentially making mistakes. Here are some of the most common:
1. Choosing low-quality cabinets: You don’t have to spend your life savings on new cabinets, but spending a little extra will ensure that they’re made of good materials and will last longer.
2. Incorrect measurements: Installing cabinets is a very exact art, especially if you’re fitting them to replace old cabinets. Being off by just a few millimeters could send you back to square one.
3. Following fads: Just because a style of cabinets is trendy and chic this year doesn’t mean it still will be two years from now. Unless you have the means — and even want — to replace your cabinets every few years, go with something classic that will always look great.
4. Ordering cabinets and cabinet accessories without seeing a sample of them: Do not, under any circumstances, buy cabinets online or over the phone unless you’ve seen them in real life first. You can be a bit more lenient when it comes to cabinet knobs and door knob hardware, but if you can, order samples of them first so you can see what they’ll actually look like on the cabinet.
